A Kitchen on Kingsessing
We set up shop on Kingsessing Ave in West Philadelphia, where good food quickly becomes a community favorite. Illusions Soul Food Express, owned and operated by Tinya and her mom Daveon, is a family-run restaurant serving fresh, homemade soul food made with care. Neighbors came in, returned, and brought others along. Built on quality and warm hospitality, it has grown into a local staple, proudly serving guests across two locations with love and dedication.
Tradition With a Twist
The menu starts with Southern roots — turkey wings, seasoned yams, crispy fried favorites — then goes somewhere unexpected. Thai wings, Salmon Alfredo, and Whiting Fried Rice put our stamp on soul food.
